The writing is on the wall. This summer, circumstances came together in such a way that for more than a week my husband and I were empty nesters. I can hear you real empty nesters snorting, but having been knee-deep in kids and their entourages for lo these many years, the lack of them was noticeable. And (I can’t believe I am saying this) a little uncomfortable.
